Cadenza Charms Review

A little post in between my travel reports. :) As you may know, last week Saturday the 7th of June, it was the summer edition of International Lolita Day! Lolitas all over the world celebrate this special day twice a year, once on the first Saturday of June and once on the first Saturday of December. Unfortunately, I am in the middle of studying for my exams, so initially I didn’t plan anything special for ILD. But luckily, I could slip some time in at the end of the day to finally wear the outfit I had been planning for ages. You see, a little while ago I was approached by an online shop whether I wanted to do a sponsored review for them. Well yes of course! *o* This particular web shop is called

Cadenza Charms

And today I am finally posting the review of my beautiful item. First, let me tell you a bit about the site itself: http://www.cadenzacharms.com. The site has a wonderful selection of hair pieces, flower crowns, hair combs and other amazing pieces to make your outfit stand out. Cadenza Charms has a lot of pieces perfect for Classic Lolita! After selecting several items I adored (I am a horrible chooser), I finally chose the Spring Meadow Fascinator. This beautiful hairpiece with its gorgeous peacock feathers immediately drew my attention, because it is so different from my usual style! And the gem attached to it looked like magical galaxy. It really seemed to suck me into a different world. So yes, this was the right choice. ^^
The fascinator arrived in a sturdy box and when I unpacked it, it looked exactly like on the picture! The feathers are incredibly pretty and I don’t even know where to begin to describe the beautiful gem! On the back, a sturdy hair clip is attached, making it easy to stick it into your hair. Now, here are some pictures of me sporting my beautiful Spring Meadow Fascinator! *o*
The clip itself. Isn’t it beautiful?

Here you can see the its size a bit more accurately. It’s quite big and pretty! *o*

My whole outfit. I tried to bring out the clip’s colours a bit.

The clip is sturdy and it doesn’t slip down easily, which is really great!

And another close up of me. ^^

Even though there is a clip on the back, the fascinator can also easily be used as a brooch which looks really nice as well!
I really love this shot… ♥

Both as a hair clip and as a brooch, this clip makes a great accessory!

The colours of my cardigan and jewelry matched the clip so well!

So what do you think? :3

A last close up.

I definitely recommend to take a look at Cadenza Charms’s site, especially if you love elegant hair clips and flower crowns. Their items are sturdy, beautiful and definitely worth it! ^^
And a little bonus picture: posing with my pug Catootje. ♥

P.s. As you might have noticed, I changed my blog's look! I worked on it for so long and it's starting to look really cute now! =D What do you think? :3

It’s International Lolita Day Tomorrow!

Hi everyone! In case you had forgotten, it’s International Lolita Day tomorrow! As you probably know, Lolitas all over the world celebrate ILD twice a year: on the first Saturday of June and on the first Saturday of December. So tomorrow it’s the summer (or spring, whatever you prefer to call it) edition! Do you have any plans to celebrate this wonderful holiday? ^^

I don’t really have plans. Despite the fact I dressed up on the previous two ILDs, I don’t plan to do so this time as I am not feeling very well. Nevertheless my frills won’t go untouched! I am going to make a nice coord for the Tea Party I am attending next week and I will also, hopefully, work on a little report of my previous meet.

Have a lovely International Lolita Day everyone~! ♥

International Lolita Day: Blooming Fairy

Last Saturday was the winter edition of International Lolita Day! As you probably know Lolitas all over the world celebrate this joyful event twice a year: on the first Saturday of June and on the first Saturday of December. I hope you all had a wonderful day and I’d love to know how you celebrated it! I just love the idea that (almost) all the Lolitas in the world celebrate it in their own way. ^^ For the summer edition of ILD in June I dressed up for the first time and
I really wanted to do it for the winter edition too. Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well, but luckily my friend Emilie persuaded me to do so anyway! It made me feel much better. Emilie had sent me a message that she would be wearing a combination of pink, mint and white, which inspired me to do the same. I decided to combine my pink Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Millefeuille jsk with my Angelic Pretty long sleeved bolero in mint and mint Sugar Hearts socks. To put some more white into the outfit I decided on my white Bodyline shoes. I wanted to wear my flower head band again and put some extra flowers and a mint bow on it. I decided not to wear too much accessories, because I quite liked the outfit the way it was. I added a cute cherry to my bolero and braided my hair. I felt so pretty! I absolutely adored my outfit, to be honest. ^^
I decided to call this outfit ‘Blooming Fairy’, thanks to Emilie again. She thought I looked like a fairy and since I love fairies I decided to keep the name.♥
My mom took some amazing pictures of me and I also took some on my own with my tripod. It worked out better than the last time I tried luckily. ^^
I hope you like my outfit. ♥

My outfit rundown:
Flower headband: Claire’s
Jsk: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Millefeuille jumperskirt
Bolero: Angelic Pretty
Socks: Angelic Pretty

This is my favourite picture that my mom took of me in this outfit.
I don’t know, I just like the way I look.
Sometimes I try to take serious pictures too. What do you think?
Some detail shots.
Pippi Longstocking, Lolita version.
Look, I’m a real fairy! I can fly! ^^

I realize I wore this dress with these flowers last year too, but I see it as a winter variation!
