Summer Tales Boutique Opening Day

I was supposed to post this blog entry while I was on vacation, but... I forgot! >_< I am so sorry! Anyway, I am back from Japan and soon I will tell you all about it!. Please wait a little and enjoy this post first. ^^

On the 29th of March, I went on my way to Houten once again to visit the Fly Away Fashion shop. This was a very special day for Katie, the shop owner, for she celebrated the official change from her brand’s name ‘Fly Away Fashion’ to

Summer Tales Boutique!

Katie told us a while ago she was planning on changing her shop’s name to fit her new style and ideas more, and on this day the shop was finally officially renamed (if you visit the Facebookpage and it still has the old name, it’s because everything is still in transition). And of course that had to be celebrated! When Katie announced this special day, filled with tea, sweets and great sounding workshops, I couldn’t stay away of course!
Usually I don’t have a problem with thinking up outfits at all, but this time it took me a really long time to come up with something that I liked. I finally decided on Fantasic Dolly combined with my black-with-white-dots blouse, a cute new pair of tights, pink socks and my ‘retro-shoes’ as I like to call them. I also put a lot of effort in my hair, which definitely paid off since I really loved the result! So eventually I ended up with an outfit I adored! Here is my outfit, I hope you like it! ♥
✿ Dots and Flowers ✿
My outfit rundown:
Head bow: Tralala
Blouse: H&M
Jsk: Angelic Pretty’s Fantasic Dolly
Tights: Primark
Socks: Swimmer
Shoes: offbrand
Flowers: Claire’s
Necklace: Angelic Pretty
Bracelets: Six and Tralala
Rings: Chocomint and Claire’s
Bag: Primark
My mom drove me to the station, where I took the train on my own, two stations ahead joined by Renate. When we finally arrived at Houten Station, we had to walk a little to the shop (after getting some money). We were not the firsts, even though it was quite early! ^^ I said hi to the already present people (including a super adorable little girl dressed in Lolita with her mom). Then I went inside to say hi to Katie, who looked stunning as usual (pictures later in this post). Since there weren’t many people yet, this gave me a great opportunity to take some pictures of the shop, as I usually do.
The entrance to the shop. :3

Some of the many wonderful items (bear hats for example ♥).

Cute alpacas and beautiful headbows.

And the super cute little girl! *o*

When I walked outside again, the Belgian guests had arrived! Saltje, Kathleen and Alexander had driven all the way from Belgian to attend the event and I couldn’t be happier about that! They are so incredibly sweet! ♥ And they looked amazing (pictures a little below).
We sat down and had some tea and sweets while chatting, until it was time for the first workshop: working with fimo clay! I didn’t take many pictures while creating my masterpiece, because I was so busy, but let’s say I am… not that great at working with fimo. XD It was a lot of fun nonetheless! :D
Fimo clay and tools. I loved the pastel colors!

After we had finished crafting, we went downstairs again. A lot more people had arrived and it was time for outfit pictures! I tried to take pictures of anyone who wanted, everyone looked so beautiful/elegant/cute! Here are some outfit pictures (yay, collages!):
Belgian princess Kathleen! Don’t you just adore her dress? I am in love! *_*

Belgian queen Saltje, who looked as if she just walked out of a fairy tale!

Kathleen was kind enough to also take pictures of me and I love them so much! ;_; ♥

Charlotte, in her beautiful and musical coord!

Sandy, looking so very elegant with her beautiful hair and flowers!

Anne, looking like a movie actress from the 40s!

Renate and Fairyfloss, her Alpaca, matching!

Kimberley, looking fabulous in her new dress!

Anna-Jorina, who I had just met that day (she is so sweet!),
looking amazing in red and black!

And of course Katie, with her beautiful dots dress and wonderful hairdo!

So many lovely outfits. :3 And I didn’t even take pictures of everyone! Can you believe it?
In the meantime I also joined the second and third workshop. The second was making jewelry with little charms (mine turned out so cute) and the third workshop was another fimo clay one. It was a lot of fun! ^^ I also bought two of the small alpacas you could see at the beginning of this post! A pink one for my mom (she loves alpacas so much) and a caramel coloured one for myself. I named him Charlie! ♥
The event came to an and, but of course not without a group picture!
I chose the funny one on purpose, because it is so cute! x3

We all took some more pictures outside and then it was really time to go. I said goodbye to everyone and Renate and I walked back to the train station and went home. It had been a wonderful day~! ✿
Bonus picture: I wanted to steal Marcella’s Memorial Cake, it’s just so pretty!
One day I’ll own it myself (I hope)! ♥
