Hey there, I'm still alive! ❤️ It's been ages since I last posted, but uni took up all my attention... I'm pretty much done now though, so I decided to create a new outfit again! 🎀 @marinette_in_wonderland really wanted me to use my pony bag in a coord, so I ended up coording it with Star Night Theater, with pink and red and some pony accessories. 🌌 I hope you like it! ✨

It's been a while since my last post, but my university work required all my attention. Now I have passed my thesis and received my last grades, so I'm basically done and graduated! It's a bit of an empty feeling, as I've been at home for one and a half years by now... Oh well. ^^'
When it was time for a new outfit post, I asked my friend what kind of outfit she wanted to see and as I've never used my pony bag for anything she wanted to see it used in an outfit! Here is the result: quite a "classic Angelic Pretty" outfit, you could say! I also managed to incorporate my new pink shoes into, which made me very happy. :3

Character Inspired Flatlay Coords

I haven't been posting a lot on social media lately, not just on my blog. At the moment, I am in the final weeks of my studies and am very busy writing my thesis. Nevertheless, I wanted to post at least something on my blog in April and eventually decided on a few flatlay outfits I did a while back that were inspired by characters!
I really love it when people go to Disneyland in character-inspired outfits. Did you know this exists? It's called Disneybounding and I really recommend browsing the tag on Instagram for hours of inspiring fun!
I ended up creating three Disney character-inspired outfits myself and one Sanrio! As expected, three out of four are very pink and cutesy. XD Let's have a look!

This first outfit was posted on November 11th 2020 and was inspired by Marie of the Aristocats. I love pink and white color schemes, so I had quite some fun with this outfit, as it's Marie's signature colors! I decided on this cute, long-sleeved blouse and added a pink bow, as Marie always wears a big bow around her neck, which resulted in this cute, preppy look. I also incorporated my Disneyland Marie ears for obvious reasons and fluffy earrings as I am sure Marie is very fluffy and soft herself. :3

This outfit was posted on December 8th 2020 and was inspired by My Melody. My Melody means pink to me, so I went with a mostly pink outfit. I chose Angelic Pretty's Fancy Paper Dolls JSK as a base as it has bunnies and even though they don't really look like My Melody, the idea is still cute. This character is often depicted surrounded by roses, so I added several rose accessories to this outfit and borrowed my mom's My Melody bag (which is also covered in roses). I chose my My Melody headband obviously and added a cute My Melody mirror as a cute touch.

This outfit was posted on December 16th 2020 and was inspired by Minnie Mouse. Usually Minnie is depicted in her signature red dress, but when I found this fancy gold version of her I decided to try to give my own spin on it. I don't have a gold dress myself, so I went with black and many gold accessories. I also kept the original polkadots! I even added a parasol. Somehow looking at this outfit makes me really happy!

This last outfit was posted on December 23rd 2020 and was inspired by Shelly May. Shelly May is one of the Disney Sea characters. She doesn't really have a signature outfit, so I went with something simple and cozy. I don't often incoporate the color brown into outfits, but I ended up really liking this. Even though the outfit itself is not necessarily recognizable as Shelly May, the headband is, so I think I succeeded after all. ^^

This outfit is a little different from my usual ones, but I adore it honestly! 😍 I had been wanting to create this coord for a while, but I was missing just one last piece of the coord puzzle in my head. Finally, my @puvithel necklace came and I knew it was perfect! 💕 I combined my mint Shadow Dream Carnival dress and some bows with all holo accessories, from head to toes! It feels both cute and bold to me. What do you think? ✨

When Puvithel announced they might discontinue their heart necklace line, I finally decided to get the necklace I had been wanting for a really long time and aaah, I'm so glad I ordered it! It's absolutely gorgeous! I had wanted to coord a holo x something coord and pretty early on decided on using my Shadow Dream Carnival dress for it, as it's a plain-coloured dress, so there's no print to make the holo disappear into. Almost as soon as the necklace arrived, I created this coord! Finally I could use my adorable Forever21 fairy wing backpack I wore last to the Dream Masquerade event in London again. Also, these poor holo shoes have been waiting a lifetime to finally make an appearance, but what an appearance it is! Can you tell I'm excited about this outfit? XD Sorry, I just really like it! One can never have too many hearts, roses and love letters on a day like this, right? If I went on a Valentine's Day date, I would definitely wear this outfit! Anyone wanna be my date? 💌✨

Some say that red x pink is a taboo combination, but personally I absolutely love it! And for Valentine's Day I love it even more! I've worn an outfit with this dress and cardigan combination before which I really liked, so I wanted to create a sort of update on the old outfit by adding many roses, hearts and love letter motifs to it. I really like this outfit and definitely want to wear it at some point! What do you think?

I can’t tell you how much I love this dress. ;0; I mean, I dedicated a whole post to it, so that might have given you an indication already.
I think this dress is both sweet and elegant, so I tried to bring out its cuteness with the glitter shoes and ankle socks and its elegance with a pretty pearl necklace.
Ah, I can’t wait to wear this outfit at some point! Do you like it?

I’m really happy to finally own lavender shoes and they’re so cute too! I took them as the outset of my outfit together with my Jewelry Jelly dress, just started adding both lavender and mint items and before I knew it, I was done! I’m honestly really happy with this coord and would love to wear it someday, aaah! I hope you like it too!

1/3 of the dresses I had followers vote for to make an outfit with. 💕 I always call this dress lovingly 'my curtain dress'. I wanted to make a classic and elegant outfit with it, with lavender and white as the main colours. What do you think?

As written above, I let my followers decide on what dresses I should coord. I gave them three times the choice between two dresses, and in the first round it was Dramatic Rose versus Candy Treat, with Dramatic Rose emerging as the victor! As I’ve never worn this dress before, I wanted to share this outfit on my blog as well.
As this dress has quite a difficult shade of lavender, I didn’t really know what to coord it with at first, which eventually led me to combine it simply with white. I ended up quite liking it! I used a simple, elegant and flowy blouse. I put white rose clips onto simple white shoes to give them just a bit of extra detail. I added my new white Angelic Pretty hat and added a small clip on veil for an extra splash of white. The end result reminded me of a young, elegant girl, hence the name of this outfit. I hope you like it!

Fuwa fuwa rainbow. 🌈 I recently bought this adorable pastel rainbow bag and I really wanted to combine it with my pastel rainbow knitted vest. I ended up making the softest, fluffiest coord I could come up with and I absolutely adore it! 💕

I can’t tell you how excited I am over this outfit! I’ve wanted to create a pastel rainbow coord for ages, so when I found this rainbow bag while shopping and thought of my rainbow knitted vest back home in my closet, I knew they were destined to be combined! As the vest is really soft and cosy, I wanted to make a soft, fluffy (or ‘fuwa fuwa’) outfit out of it. My Millefeuille JSK by Baby, the Stars Shine Bright is not only very versatile, but it is probably the comfiest dress in my closet. Maybe combining a fairly frilly, lacy dress with a vest like this wouldn’t be anyone’s first idea, but somehow they work really well together I think! I then chose a fluffy, pink beret and combined it with a bunch of bow hair clips, which resulted in the cutest beret ever! ;0; Then I added fluffy earrings, three pastel-coloured bracelets and a cute necklace. I went with white socks to bring out the white lace of the dress and added some cute shoes to top everything off!
It seems people really liked this outfit, as it has over 600 likes on Instagram! I’ve never had that. I’m glad people love this outfit as much as I do, because I adore it! ♥

This coord is based around this red blouse I bought on sale a while ago. I've been wanting to use it for ages and it suits my Milky Berry jsk perfectly! ❤️ I also got to use these adorable red and white polkadots chou-chous, which can be used as hairties, bracelets or, in this case, sock toppers! 😊

Milky Berry is one of my favourite dresses I own. It has a very vibrant mint colour and a striking red and pink print, which looks gorgeous together. I’ve wanted to bring out the red in this dress through a red blouse for a long time and now I finally did in this coord. I used red shoes, red chou-chous and red fruits accessories to focus even more on that colour. Through a simple straw hat and cute, simple socks, I tried to give this outfit a bit of a country style. It came out even more cute than I thought! Whether I would really dare to actually wear this remains a question, as red blouses can bleed, which is a bit of a scary thought.

Thanks to my flatlay twin with @rubanrose_emilie, I was inspired to make flatlay coords again! 💕 As I have accumulated a lot of really amazing accessories, bags and shoes over time, I decided to try and make coords based on some of those items. This coord is based around this lovely hat I ordered a while ago, combined with a pink rose clip from @summertalesboutique. I imagine wearing this outfit while strolling through a rose garden in early summer and being covered in roses myself. 💖

As I wrote when I posted this, I want to try and create coords around certain accessories or pieces of clothing, to give them a bit more attention. I was cleaning up a little while ago and realised just how many amazing items I have accumulated over a long period of time. Even if my self-esteem holds me back, I can still make them shine in flatlay coords, right?
Whoa, I am really loving this outfit! It feels very ‘casual princess’ to me, which is a style I really like for non-event coords: not too over-the-top, but still elegant and colourful. Lady Rose is an absolutely stunning dress by itself, but by draping the blouse over the straps it looks even more elegant, don’t you think? The hat is not too big, which gives it a casual country vibe, but the lace makes it looks classier and by adding the big pink roses I think it looks just so sweet! Small rose accessories and elegant, pink heels really top this look off. Now to only find the perfect, matching parasol…

Emilie is doing some amazing remote twinnings with friends, but unfortunately, I don't feel in a good enough place to actually wear Lolita right now. Nevertheless, she suggested doing a flatlay twinning coord instead, which made me so happy! 😭❤ Although we own different versions and colours of Fantasic Dolly, I think we managed to make a really nice twin! And we both love Maison de Fleur bags, so I'm glad we got to use them! I loved planning with my dear Emilie and she inspired me to do even more flatlays, so please keep an eye out! 😘

I was so happy when my friend Emilie asked me to do a twin with her and she was fine with doing a flatlay! I think the result is very twin-worthy, what do you think?
Fanatsic Dolly is such a pretty dress. Every time I pull it out of my closet I just look at it first for a bit, since it’s just so lovely! ♥ From the polkadotted bow on the neckline to the long black ribbon around the waist ending in two dangling diamonds to the bright mint print striking against the pink and black… Ah, I love this dress so much!
One of the details I especially like about this twin is how we both used the bracelets we both own. They’re really simple, but exactly the same! And I can’t believe I found a pouch that matches my dress the way her pouch matches hers!
I hope we get to wear this twin together someday…

Angelic Pretty Tea Party 2019 Outfit

*gasp* An actual blogpost!? That’s right! I felt the need to write a post, so here we are! I hope you enjoy it. ^^
Last week, on July 7th, the Angelic Pretty Tea Party in Paris took place. I have attended the Angelic Pretty Tea Party every year since 2012, which means I have attended seven Tea Parties in total! Here are the links to my reports of 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 (I haven’t written about 2018 yet) if you’re curious!
Unfortunately, this year I wasn’t able to attend, for several reasons. You can imagine I was a bit sad about it, but of course it’s not the end of the world!
Nevertheless, I decided to come up with an outfit that I would have liked to wear, regardless of insecurities or body issues. This year’s Tea Party was held at an actual castle! So what would I wear to a really beautiful French castle? My mind was easily made up: I would wear Milky Swan! ♥

So this is the outfit I came up with! I created an outfit based on the fairytale of the Swan Princess. I chose a colour scheme of mint-blue, white and iridescent, while trying to incorporate some swan-like touches as well.

I went with a white, flowy blouse that folds over the straps of the dress. I think this gives a very romantic feeling and it also reminds me a bit of wings, which suits the swan theme very nicely. Because the wings are sewn to the middle of the blouse, I tucked the middle behind the dress’ bow, because I didn’t want to hide it. I think it looks really cute like this too!

For shoes I chose my drop-dead-gorgeous Irregular Choice shoes, which are iridescent, decorated with white, glittery bows. They shimmer in the light when you walk and they’re just so princess-like! For a bag I chose this adorable swan bag because of very obvious reasons.

Lately I’ve really been into iridescent jewelry and I have acquired a small collection already. The headband I bought at Forever 21, the necklace and earrings come from this offbrand store I walked into while shopping in Germany. I think the decorations on the necklace look a bit like feathers, which is a nice bonus.

The little bow I put on the waist bow of the dress comes from Claire’s. Not only does it have wings, but it also compliments the iridescence of the accessories and the shoes.

Milky Swan is such a beautiful print, I keep admiring it every time I look at it. It gives off these dreamy vibes. I am so happy I own this dress!

Finally, I added a veil to the back of the dress, which also kind of reminds me a bit of swan wings. Maybe you don’t see it, but to me it really perfected this whole outfit!

So I may not have attended this year’s Tea Party, but by looking at my friends’ pictures all day and creating an outfit of my own, I feel like I was there a bit after all! I hope you like my outfit. ^^

And what better to wear on Easter than a bunny-themed coord? 🐰
To bring out my inner bunny, I chose Fancy Paper Dolls as a base, this adorable bunny cardigan I bought during my last Japan trip and a bunny head band to top it off. I went with a lavender x pink colour scheme, but since I (still) don't own lavender shoes I chose these striped OTKs to bring out the lavender of the cardigan.
At the moment I am redecorating my room, so unfortunately I couldn't find the necklace I had wanted to use initially, but in the end I went with this super cute handmade cotton candy bunny necklace I received as a gift at @twinkledreamysky's and @mirageprincess's birthday party once. ❤️ I am honestly really pleased with this outfit, it's so cute and pastelly!

Aaah, I am really loving this outfit so much! It has that pastel fairy-kei vibe that I have loved ever since I started Lolita and even before that! Since it was Easter, I looked for the most Easter-like dress I owned. Sadly I don’t have Happy Garden hanging in my closet, so I went with the bunny print I do own: Fancy Paper Dolls. FPD is a super cute print and the dress has a very lovely cut as well. To bring out the colours of the print, I could basically go wild, because there are so many! Blue, pink, white, yellow, lavender… I decided to go with lavender, as I bought the most adorable bunny cardigan during my trip in Japan. It has bunny ears on the hood and a fluffy bunny tail on the back! However, to bring out the pink of the dress again, I clipped pink bows onto the heart-shaped pockets. The pink shoes were an obvious choice and these striped socks, which are some of my favourites, matched the ensemble surprisingly well.
Naturally, in a bunny-themed outfit, one must bring out the bunny even more! That’s why I chose the cotton candy bunny necklace mentioned in the caption, white pom pom earrings that look like bunny tails and a simple beaded bunny ears headband with a cute Angelic Pretty bow clip attached to them. Bunny enough for you? It sure is for me!

I've seen a lot of beautiful Valentine's coords the past few days and it got me thinking: what would I wear on a Valentine's date? I think I would want to wear my favourite dress in a cute outfit combined with pink!
So this is the coord I would wear: Angelic Pretty's Milky Swan with a cute bolero and pink shoes. Also, in my mind I got that cute bear from my Valentine... ❤️

I have been dying to wear Milky Swan since this dress is just so damn beautiful! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to wear it yet, so if I were going on a date while wearing Lolita this dress would be perfect! The colour is a very beautiful blue mixed with mint and the soft tulle(?) overlay gives it a romantic feel, not to mention the swan print filled with beautiful flowers. As Valentine’s Day always reminds me of a set colour scheme, I went with a light pink. This Baby, the Stars Shine Bright bolero has a lovely design with small polkadots and intricate lace. To bring out the pink of the print furthermore, I chose a bangle (which in hindsight would probably be covered by the bolero’s sleeve, but well) and pink high heels with not one, but two bows on them. I chose the matching head bow to Milky Swan, as it suits the dress so well in terms of colour, but also because it is a fairly small bows that looks cute in a simple hairstyle. The sheer socks have a romantic feel to them as well, but match the dress perfectly too! As I wrote in the caption, I imagine the bear would be something my Valentine could win for me, but also: its colours match perfectly and I wanted a cute accessory to top everything off.

Flatlay ♥ Military Cameo Window

As I said in my previous post, instead of wearing Lolita myself I’ve been doing some flatlay coords. It started out as a way to keep my Instagram at least a bit Lolita-related, but I ended up having a lot of fun with it! I really love coordinating and since I had absolutely no restrictions whatsoever, like the weather or what looks good on my body, it was rather freeing. I’d like to fill my blog up a bit with posts, so I decided to talk a bit more detailed about the flatlays I did up until now. Today we start with my first ever flatlay, posted on January 21, 2018 with the following caption:

Unfortunately I don't feel very comfortable in my own skin right now, so I don't really feel like wearing Lolita. 🎀
However, I still really love my dresses and making nice coords with them, so I decided to start making flat lay coords! ❤️ My friend @josinemaaike, aka Queen of the Flat Lays, was kind enough to give me some tips, which is why this flat lay looks a lot like hers, haha!
For my first try I decided to go with the newest addition to my wardrobe: Cameo Window in wine. When I bought this jacket I knew I wanted to combine it with Lolita someday and to my great pleasure it suits my new dress so well! I decided to finish the outfit with some simple jewelry, a red velvet bow and gold shoes. 🌹

As you will be able to read (hopefully) soon, I bought the beautiful wine red Cameo Window jsk in Harajuku in Tokyo. I didn’t buy any other dresses during my trip, but was totally fine with that since I found this absolute stunner of a dress that made me very happy. The print has a very old-fashion and chic feeling to it and it’s so elegant and refined! The colour of the dress is quite a difficult one, so I was thrilled when I found out it matched this coat perfectly! I bought this coat in a local shop in town, making it an indirect birthday gift from my grandpa who had given me money for my birthday. Since the jacket makes the outfit into a bit of a more military style, I decided not to go overboard with accessories. A simple pearl choker with a gold crown and a red, perfectly matching Summer Tales Boutique head bow made just the right amount of decoration. The shoes bring out the gold of the accessories and I decided to go with no socks or tights, since the print is distracting enough as it is. The gold rose I honestly just put down for decoration, since I wanted to have one more gold item, so it’s really just for show, haha!

My first flatlay was quite a good one if I may say so myself. I hope to one day be able to wear it! I also like how the title is a bit of a joke, because usually military cameo is green and beige, but here it’s also the original print name! Yes, that is my kind of humour, I’m sorry.
