My First Lolita Photoshoot

A while ago my friend Cat asked me if I wanted to do a photoshoot together with her and her friend Deborah. She had organized a shoot with two photographers and two make up ladies for free, in return that these people could use the pictures for their portfolios! I’ve always wanted to do a (Lolita) photoshoot, so of course I said yes!
We were supposed to bring two complete outfits and as many props as we wanted. I chose to make two coords featuring two dresses I had never worn yet: Milky-chan of the Fawn and Milky Berry. For Milky-chan I wanted to make a completely pink and white outfit, for Milky Berry I created a bit of a country girl style with a hat and flowers. I especially loved my Milky Berry outfit a lot!
In the early morning on August the 18th my parents and me drove to the station to pick up Cat, after which we headed to the house of one of the photographers. There we would meet Deborah and her mother too.
The photographers welcomed us and we put on our first outfits. I decided to wear Milky-chan first, Cat put on her version in brown and Deborah wore her pink Whimsical Vanilla-chan one piece. After that, the make-up ladies did Cat’s and Deborah’s make up, so I waited. After that, the two girls went shooting together, while the ladies did my make-up and curled my hair (lucky me, I looove curls!). The downside of being last was that Cat and Deborah did a lot of cute pictures together, so when I came in the photographers were a bit out of ideas. XD
We did some pictures with the three of us and then it was my turn to go solo. I had to get used to not smiling too broadly, but I did like posing very much! There was only one downside: the shoot took place in the hottest weekend of the whole summer! I must say I could handle the heat quite well, but poor Cat had a lot of trouble. That’s why we don’t have so many pictures together.
On to my pictures. I chose my favorite ones of myself, I really hope you like them! ^^
To be honest: I wasn’t very enthusiastic about my make-up. I don’t have very big eyes, so when I do my make-up I try to emphasize them and make them seem bigger. Even though I liked what the make-up lady did with the colors, I do think my eyes seem smaller than normal and very different. But it was interesting to see someone else’s vision.
After the shoot we went to Deborah’s house to cool down, eat and talk. It was a very fun day and I have some cool pictures of myself from a real photoshoot (although I will always prefer my mom’s camerawork)! ♥
